Short-tailed Albatross
We made several floating Short-tailed Albatross decoys by modifying the nesting albatross and adding a weighted keel. These decoys were using in a banding study in the Bering Sea. A line was attached to the decoy and it was allowed to drift alongside the boat in order to attract “Shorties” close enough to net for banding.
