In Search of the Adelie Penguin

A culmination of observations and interviews on film, which tell a story of climate change, with a focus on the Adelie Penguin.

In March, 2017, environmentalist Maggie Dewane, an instructor in the Hog Island Road Scholar program Maine Seabird Biology and Conservation, visited Antarctica as an investigative journalist to better understand how climate change is affecting Adelie Penguins, one of the southernmost of penguins. Maggie found that even though the diminutive penguins live far from most of the humans that are causing climate change, they are feeling impacts to their nesting habitat and food. Join Maggie for this short film to better understand how seabirds can demonstrate the far reaching effects of climate change.
